Welcome
This fund was founded in 1957 and specializes in assisting visually impaired Canadian children up to the age of 21. The fund is operated entirely by Canadian Military Police volunteers. Click for a message from the Chair.

 
 
       
  Framed Wayne Gretzky Photograph Raffle
Two framed and signed photographs of Wayne Gretzky were raffled in the National Captial Region. The Grand Prize was a photograph of Wayne at centre ice at Maple Leaf Gardens following his final game there on December 19th, 1998.  Second prize was a dressing room photograph of Wayne taken on April 18th, 1999. The draw raised in excess of $1100.00. The 19th Annual National Capital Region golf tournament is being held on September 25th, 2009 at Club de golf Outaouais. Click for more information.
 
       
  Kingston Golf Logo 2nd Annual 2 MPU Detachment Kingston Golf Tournament
2 Military Police Unit Detachment Kingston will be hosting a charity golf tournament on Friday, September 18th, 2009, and the profits will benefit the Military Police Fund for Blind Children (MPFBC). Click for more information.
 
       
  8 Wing Tenton Logo 8 Wing Trenton, MP Detachment Golf Tournament
The 8 Wing Trenton MP detachment golf tournament in support of the MPFBC is being held on Tuesday, August 11th, 2009 at Roundel Glen. Click for more information.
 
       
  2009 - Valcartier MP Hockey Tournament
The 2009 Valcartier MP Hockey Tournament was another huge success, raising over $1,500.00 for the MPFBC. Military Police teams from all over Eastern and Central Canada converged on Quebec City for this annual event. The eventual tournament winners were the "Old Watchdogs", a team whose average age was over 45! A photograph of the "Old Watchdogs" can be view here.
 
       
 

Hats off to Corporal Pierre Compeau
Corporal Compeau is the MPFBC unit representative at CFB Kingston. Under his impressive leadership and initiative, Kingston raised over $11,000.00 for the Fund in 2008.  Click here to read more regarding Pierre's outstanding efforts.

Canadian Forces Military Police Academy
Students undergoing Basic Military Police training (Qualification Level 3) at the Canadian Forces Military Police Academy, Canadian Forces Base Borden, continue to raise funds for the MPFBC. Their impressive efforts are highlighted on the Fundraising --> The Academy page. Military Police QL 3, Serial 0055 raised over $2,555 during their course.
