This fund was founded in 1957 and specializes in assisting visually impaired Canadian children up to the age of 21. The fund is operated entirely by Canadian Military Police volunteers. Click for a message from the Chair.

  National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign
On November 20th, a cheque in the amount of $1154.85 was presented at NDHQ to the Military Police Fund for Blind Children.  The funds were raised from generous donations by attendees at the Public Service Week BBQ held on June 18th at Cartier Square in Ottawa.  Funds collected were in support of the NDWCC which then divided the proceeds between the MFRC and the MP Blind Fund.  Click here to view a photograph of the cheque presentation. Each year at this time, CANEX and the Miliary Police Fund for Blind Children engage in a charity campaign call "Trimm our Tree for a Loonie". The official launch is November 12th, 2008 - Visit your local CANEX to help raise funds for the MPFBC.
 
       
  National Capital Region Golf Logo 18th Annual National Capital Region Golf Tournament

  CFSAL Crest 2008 CFSAL 24-Hour Hockeython in support of the MPFBC
Once again the Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics (CFSAL) is hosting a 24-hour Hockeython with proceeds supporting the MPFBC. This event is scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd. Click here to view the poster.
 
       
  The Personal Insurance Company Donates Barbecue to CFMPA
Mr Ken Harris, representing The Personal, Home and Auto Group Insurance, recently paid a special visit to the home of the Branch. The Personal generously donated a barbecue to be used by students of CFMPA during their Blind Fund - fundraising efforts. Click here for a photograph.

Canadian Forces Military Police Academy
Students undergoing Basic Military Police training (Qualification Level 3) at the Canadian Forces Military Police Academy, Canadian Forces Base Borden, continue to raise funds for the MPFBC. Their impressive efforts are highlighted on the Fundraising --> The Academy page. Military Police QL 3, Serial 0051 raised over $3,300 during their course.
